Good architecture should have a story behind it.

btl was started in 2023 by Ar. Faizan Hussain and Ar. Thressia Paul, with a shared belief in context-driven, story-led design. We’re interested in the little things that make each project its own- its place, people, memories, materials and everyday life.

As designers, we tend to look at design through different lenses. Faizan tends to think about the bigger picture- planning and geometry, while Thressia is drawn to materials, details and the small decisions that shape a space. Somewhere between these two ways of thinking and a shared interest in the business of building a practice , we’ve grown BTL into a curious and collaborative practice, while always looking for the story between the lines.
