Nelly House

Thirunelly, Wayanad

Nelly House

Nestled in the landscape of Wayanad, Nelly House is a rammed-earth home shaped around the site rather than imposed on it. The house grows around existing Nelly trees, following the natural contours of the land and opening itself to the paddy fields and coffee plantation beyond. Reclaimed doors and windows, terracotta roofs and earthy finishes bring a sense of warmth and familiarity, while courtyards and verandahs blur the boundary between the house and its surroundings.
